Summary

  • I’ll start at the beginning of all things I’ve done over the years. My first job was a waitress and dish washer at 15. I then was a gymnastics instructor at 17. At 18 I worked at Safeway as a courtesy clerk/helper clerk. The summer after graduation I was a lifeguard on weekends and A tire changer/oil changer at conoco during the week at 19. Conoco closed down, I then went to town site for a brief time until I decided to start a family. I wasn’t employed for 4 years until I decided to get back into the working world. I started that off at the security gate in 2008. I got laid off in the down turn so I got a job at the steakhouse as a cook/waitress. I then needed mornings to be with my son more so I started at The Diner waitressing mornings. I was employed there for 2 years and decided to find better opportunities to enhance my work abilities. I then was employed at Aladdin glass fabricating glass and installing it in heavy equipment, installing windshields on vehicles, and fixing windows on houses. Aladdin glass closed down so sought employment at the training center where I was a fitness center attendant/lifeguard during the summer. I then put in for the Mine as a Truck driver. I was a truck driver for 4 years. While being a truck driver I aquired 777, compactor, and rubber tire dozer. I then moved on to Shovels and have been here for 6 years. On my days off I help my husband and father in law with their excavation business, I operate a loader and Skidsteer for them helping with septic systems and dirt work. With all that being said, Im very adaptable, I learn quickly, Im efficient, I know how to get my tasks done with minimal supervision. I’m a team player and have always been a leader. I always mentor those who need it or ask for it. A team is only as good as its weakest link and if you mentor the weak ones by and make them better you will have a well oiled machine. I believe there is always something new to learn. Every day I strive to be better than I was the day before weather it was a bad day or even a good day. I have many skills, I believe myself to be a good asset. I’m a hard worker and go above and beyond. I have good work ethic and do the best of my ability and then some. I’m very critical of myself and don’t always feel like it’s good enough. I’m dedicated in my job on being a top Shovel Operator as told to me by my supervisors and peers. I pride myself on being a top operator not only in safety but also in being able to cost effectively run the shovel to minimize costs in the long run. Operating safely is my top priority. I mentor people the way I would run. Mentoring them to have safe operating practices and to be productive operators.
