  • Formulating Vitamin C products in an Independent Study course overseen by Dr. Todd Squires in the Chemical Engineering department at UC Santa Barbara.
  • Research and trials were conducted to produce formulas with our group's desired characteristics, such as the thickness/stickiness of the product. Using various Vitamin C derivatives such as L-ascorbic acid and sodium-ascorbate, the external effects on oxidation speed and potential shelf life as a consumer product are measured using UV-Vis Spectra and Chemiluminescence.
