Led credit underwriting for loan opportunities, including new requests, renewals, and modifications. Coordinated loan closings with Legal, Loan Operations, Risk Management, and Swap Desk. Recommended optimal credit structures, and ensured requests were within the Bank's risk parameters. Directed effective communication within the sales team to drive revenue generation, responsiveness, and risk management, to achieve the goals of quality, profitability, and growth.
Managed a portfolio of over $320 million in commercial real estate debt. Authored/presented deal memoranda, pre-screen memos, and credit analysis to senior management for approvals. Specific efforts included:
- Identifying commercial real estate developers' project needs with a capital stack of up to $75,000,000. Managing loan opportunities for construction, acquisition, value-add, and refinance from origination through the life of the loan, including the following asset classes: multi-family, industrial, office, hospitality, and self-storage. Ensuring the accuracy of term sheets and loan documents prior to delivery and execution.

- As a commercial real estate portfolio manager, I underwrote the issuance of over $400 million in term sheets for new debt, of which over $150 million was won and booked. Most of these transactions represented new relationships for the bank.
- Directing the approval process for incremental credit extensions, risk ratings, covenant maintenance, and underwriting. Proposing new business opportunities in existing portfolio companies (e.g., larger hold position, refinancing, etc.).
- Managing existing loans to ensure compliance, and no deterioration in risk and credit profile. Mentoring junior associates and analysts in loan structuring, risk, and process management.
- Prior to commercial real estate, I underwrote and managed the portfolios for middle-market and C&I companies across numerous sectors for three years. Company revenues ranged from $20 million to $1 billion. Industries included: Healthcare, Manufacturing, Retail, Owner-Occupied Real Estate, Higher Education, and other Nonprofits. As an underwriter, I obtained approvals resulting in the booking of new loans in excess of $250 million while in middle market/C&I.
