Physician Practice Nurse Coordinator

  • Primary nurse for several physicians over the years. Extensive knowledge of patients in the physician's practice. Tasked with ensuring all elements of each patients individualized care plan are executed in the precise order and time frame the physician has requested.
  • Point of contact for the physician during operational hours to minimize interruptions to the physician. Field questions from other department and team members as well as telephone triage.

Triaged symptom management calls from all oral chemotherapy patients and provided support. Tracked oral chemotherapy patients to ensure medications were ordered in a timely manner and prevent delay in treatment.
