I am a former two sport NCAA DIII athlete who was awarded an academic leadership honor. I was on the student athlete committee and was one of only two athletes chosen to fly across country to attend a leadership conference. I am also a hardworking, gifted Educator with eight years of distinguished classroom teaching experience, working with students who come from diverse, low income, and, often times, traumatic homes.
I was an assistant volleyball coach at Linn Benton Community college for four years.
I have extensive knowledge of classroom management skills and am considered one of the strongest in this area in my school.
I am dedicated to using effective technology integration for instruction.
I am exceptionally skilled in leading activities designed to be both fun and educational while keeping my audience in mind for sensitive subject areas.
Confident and detail-oriented with dedication to organization and effective collaboration with various coworkers.
Deeply committed to optimizing success of self and others.
I took two years of Spanish language in school and I currently work in a place where there are many Spanish speaking families as well.
My role as the assistant was to instruct and encourage student athletes to not only work hard on the court but off it as well. I was emotional support for athletes who were having difficulty with relationships on the team as well as instructional support for students who were struggling in their classes. I was involved in the recruiting process as an observer who would analyze talent, skills, and social/emotional maturity that would fit with our program. We made it to the championship tournament all four years I was involved in the program.
