My Family has lived in the Lincoln Park neighborhood since the mid-1980's. I attended Lincoln Park Elementary and Middle School through 8th grade and later attended Denfeld HS and graduated in 2000. My family was very low income growing up and as an adult I have remained in the area with my children going to Myers Wilkins and Lincoln Park. I believe this gives me a better understanding of what the community needs through my personal experience in addition to my training and experience as a nursing assistant for the past 20 years and advocating for my patients as needed to my supervisors and upper management. I am comfortable communicating with families and visitors coming into the facility and giving direction and guidance as needed. I feel that this knowledge and training along with the desire to learn new skills and be able to help others obtain the resources that they need on a daily basis will be very helpful in this new position as Community Health Coordinator.
