Past Professional Summary:
I started my journey at Valley Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation as a CNA in August of 2005. The facility has changed ownership twice over the last couple of years and is now known as River View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. I worked in that field until June of 2020, when I received the promotion as the Staffing Coordinator. Which I stepped down from that November when the Administrative Assistant position opened up. I felt that was a better fit for me. During that time I learned a lot of different skills that are outline in my resume. After giving that almost a year the administration department made some changes and I then decided to remain with the company taking on a new experience. That is the position I hold now as the Resident Transportation Driver.
While working in this position I have had the opportunity to learn a whole new set of skills. Including the scheduler/administrative assistant job and its duties. Which was not required of me, but found myself having to fill in on occasion over the last year and half. Some of those duties are as follow: Scheduling and tracking resident appointments, compiling weekly transportation schedules required to carry out those appointments, implementing the assistance of an outside ambulance company as needed, coordinated with other departments to make sure we had the staff needed to carry out transportation for these appointments, organizing and tracking incident reports within the facility, getting physicians signatures via courier system, utilized online software to reserve ambulance services, filing physicians orders and medical records on charts and collected, organized, distributed, recorded and filed paperwork for various departments within the facility.
