VOLUNTEER
- I have been a volunteer with Town & Country Fire District since May 2019. I enjoy picking up shifts as needed, attending as many meetings and trainings as I can and doing PR events. I am always looking for ways to give back to the community. For several years I have been active in helping with the fireman’s festival and poker run, mostly securing donations for these events and raffles.
- Throughout the last several years, I have spent my time volunteering with Red Cross at the Wayne County Fair.
- Last winter, I volunteered a lot of time helping to organize a 5k fundraiser to benefit Dalton Fire Department. I got to name this race, and this race has become an annual fundraiser.
Accomplishments
- In May 2021, I received an award from the Wayne County Regional Training Facility for stopping to render aid to an individual who was severely incapacitated, while on my way to class.
- In October 2021, I was awarded firefighter/emt of the year for Town & Country Fire District.
- In October of 2023, I assisted in a baby delivery while enroute to the hospital. I received a stork pin from this call.
