Fashion Exhibition Designer

  • Led garment preparation for high-profile exhibitions, including Cristóbal Balenciaga at SCAD FASH Atlanta, 1920’s Fashion at SCAD FASH Atlanta, Ruben Toledo at SCAD Museum of Art, Savannah, and Sandy Powell at SCAD FASH Atlanta.
  • Specialized in mannequin dressing and “mannequinage” — padding mannequins to accurately replicate the intended body shape for each garment.
  • Responsible for garment restoration and repair of delicate, historic pieces — including nearly 100-year-old garments from the 1920’s and rare pieces from Cristóbal Balenciaga’s archives.
  • Collaborated closely with curators and exhibition teams, including direct work with a Balenciaga representative from Paris to ensure authenticity and museum-standard presentation.
  • Assisted in full exhibition installation, from spatial planning and garment positioning to lighting considerations for preservation and display.

Summary of Press Coverage – 11th Annual Supima Design Competition (NYFW SS19)

The 11th Annual Supima Design Competition, held on September 6 at Pier 59 Studios during New York Fashion Week, brought together seven fashion graduates from top U.S. design schools to present capsule collections made with Supima cotton. Jessica Rubinstein from SCAD was among the finalists. The event drew over 300 industry figures, media, and influencers, hosted by June Ambrose with mentor Bibhu Mohapatra. Lili Shi from FIT won the competition.
