• Provide compassionate and professional care for all patients on labor and delivery unit. Work with patients, families, and colleagues to provided exemplary, individualized care during childbirth
• Care for obstetric patients with extremely complex medical issues
• Circulate cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage placements, D+Es, and other obstetric related surgical cases
• Precept new graduate nurses
• Care for patients in busy triage area of obstetric unit, caring for up to 5 patients at a time

• Manage care for vascular surgery patients undergoing major procedures
• Responsible for supervising all RNs as resource nurse, evaluate staffing requirements and create assignments for 27-bed surgical unit
• Preceptor of new graduate nurses
• Provide expert care for medical and general surgery overflow
