Summary

As a Computer Science student at Hunter College, I have a strong foundation in Web Development, Cybersecurity, and Python programming. My practical experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS was not just theoretical, but hands-on, acquired through an intensive, competitive one-week program with Break Through Tech. This experience allowed me to master user-centered design principles, prototyping, and team collaboration to create a fully functional website. Additionally, my Python programming class at Hunter College further developed my problem-solving skills and reinforced my ability to apply programming concepts to real-world projects.

Alongside my web development skills, I hold a certificate in Introduction to Cybersecurity from CodePath’s CYB101 : Intro to Cybersecurity course. This comprehensive program covered system basics such as the Linux command line, SSH, RDP, and PKI and advanced topics like access control, network vulnerabilities, penetration testing, malware detection, data analysis techniques, and social engineering tactics. I gained a strong understanding of the balance between security and privacy, equipping me with the knowledge to address modern cybersecurity challenges.

My technical background is complemented by my experience leading career-connected learning workshops for Kodely. In this role, I facilitated design-based workshops focused on developing 21st-century skills for elementary school students. I conducted an after-school workshop, guiding students through curriculum-aligned projects that promoted personal growth, critical thinking, and creativity, all while ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.

I also bring extensive retail and customer service experience. In a fast-paced retail environment, I was responsible for inventory purchases, cash and credit transactions, managing incoming phone calls, and maintaining a clean and organized storefront. I regularly helped customers find specific products, provided expert advice, and arranged new merchandise in visually appealing displays to drive sales. Additionally, I built and maintained strong relationships with peers and upper management to contribute to team success and improve overall efficiency.

By combining my technical skills in web development, cybersecurity, and Python with leadership and customer service experience, I am eager to contribute to innovative projects and continue expanding my expertise.
