• Setup AutoCad Plant 3D to utilize Smart P&ID's and modeling for the water infrastructure systems. Modeled Lift Station for wastewater and sewer systems for the KB Home development.

Worked on Redwood Materials Project checking equipment models per vendor drawings. Going over any differences with design group and vendor to work out any design changes. Created equipment models per vendor drawing if none were provided.

• Working on fabrication drawings for Jacketed Pressure vessels used within the Oil & Gas industry relating Sulfur Operations, utilizing the software BricsCAD V24 Ultimate.

• Worked on Ford Blue Oval Project, creating 3D models. Created 3D models for various systems with information provided by client. At completion of 3D model, dropped ISO’s for fabrication drawings. Using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2023 and NavisWorks to navigate the model and run clash reports.

• Worked on various projects creating 3D models for process design. Created 3D models from P&ID’s, Piping Specs and Equipment Data Sheets provided by clients and vendors. Modeled equipment and structures necessary to route all piping. At completion of 3D model, 2D drawings for equipment arrangements, piping and structures. Using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2022 and NavisWorks to navigate the model and run clash reports, upon completion of model design, dropped ISO’s for fabrication drawings.

• Worked on D4 Nitration Project – creating 3D models for process design with specialization in tactical ordnance using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2021 and NavisWorks to navigate the model and run clash reports, upon completion of model design, dropped ISO’s for fabrication drawings.

• Working on Puris Safety Project, creating 3D models for process design in the food industry using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2020 using NavisWorks to navigate the model and run clash reports. Design components or portions of systems routing piping through new and existing plant buildings. Extracting fabrication ISO’s from 3D models, cleaning ISO’s and verifying BOM’s.

• Create 3D models for process design using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2020. Design components or portions of systems, and or modified existing designs to develop or improve them from previous projects. (Laid off due to CORONAVIRUS).

• Creating 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2017-2019, writing and updating piping specs in the Spec Editor. Extracted fabrication ISO’s from the models and verified: size and quantities and the descriptions of items in the Bill of Materials. Redlining the P&ID’s to match what went in the model.

• Creating 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D 2017- of cooling water supply and return lines for HVAC systems for the control rooms of (7) different areas within the plant. Extracted fabrication ISO’s from the models and verified: size and quantities and the descriptions of items in the Bill of Materials. Red line pick-ups of P&ID’s and creating new P&ID’s from flow diagrams.

• Extensive design for NOVO NORDISK, a pharmaceutical company, creating 3D models using Plant 3D to route piping and place equipment while using Navis to navigate the model and find clashes, also extracting fabrication ISO’s from the models.

• Extensive field work updating Utilities P&ID’s. Walk down multiple processes to bring drawings to current status and specifications.

• Extensive field work updating existing drawings or creating new drawings form walk downs to bring drawings to current status and specifications. Created fabrication drawings: plans, elevations and ISO’s with complete Bill of Materials. Made pick-ups to the P&ID’s as required per project changes or modifications using Microstation V8i.

• Created P&ID’s from scratch using the flow diagrams to start from, sized pipe, valves, placement of valves, controls and instrumentation as needed for each process involved with steel mill. Created piping plans, elevations, sections and details needed to run pipe to equipment. Used AutoCAD 2015 and REVIT MEP to create drawings.

• Worked on key projects for International Paper, Orange, Texas Mill. Created P&ID’s, piping plans, elevations, sections and details, equipment arrangements, and demolition plans and details as needed for New Slaker installation. Created valve and line list for fabrication ISO’s with Bill of Materials. Worked Shutdown for the installation of New Slaker, was there for any problems, questions and answers or to solve any problems that arose during the installation. Verified location of tie-in points on new equipment as it arrived at the mill. Extensive field work for all projects, Locating tie-in points, routing of new pipe, survey for placement of new equipment and removal of old equipment and, or structures. Used AutoCAD 2014, 2015 and AutoCAD Plant 3D.

• Extensive field work doing Process Hazard Analysis walkdowns for several Chevron facilities: Kern River, Coalinga, San Ardo and Midway Sunset Cogeneration Co. Job consisted of P&ID walkdowns, updating existing drawings or creating new drawings from walkdowns to bring them to “current” status and specifications. Then hand mark-ups to other CAD operators to make changes to drawings. Then back checking drawings when they finished pick-ups. Created plot plans to map underground piping using CADWorx.

• Worked on AMVAC Tribuyos Project. Created Fabrication ISO’s from plan and elevation drawings with complete Bill of Materials using ProISO to create drawings. Worked on Lockout/Tag Out procedures for installation of new systems being installed using Excel and Word.

• Worked on Biodiesel Plant concept Project. Starting with Flow Diagrams created P&ID’s, set flow rates, line sizes, line specifications based on contents and insulation requirements. Started line list and valve list tag. Created Equipment fabrication drawings and Bill of Materials for Heat Exchanger needed for plant. Used AutoCAD 2010.

• Routed new pipe and the placement of new equipment in a four-story building to increase product production. The job involved P&ID walk downs and updating drawings to bring to current OSHA standards; also routed new pipe with the use of existing and new pipe chases throughout the building with new equipment locations on every floor. Used AutoCAD 2010 and CADWorx.

• Worked on various projects routing new pipe and the placement of new equipment on Frontier Driller Rig. Checked drawing to verify Bill of Materials quantities before going to Purchasing for Northrop Grumman, Pascagoula, Mississippi facility.

• Design work on various projects routing new pipe. Created Fabrication ISO’s with Bill of Materials to be installed in the plant. Updated P&ID’s to reflect new plant standards.

• Worked on various projects routing new pipe and the placement of meter runs. Completed a variety of computer drawings, including piping and mechanical drawings with specialization in oil and gas industry.

• Worked on various projects routing new pipe and the placement of new equipment. Performed P&ID walk downs to bring all P&ID’s up to OSHA Standards. Set the Standards for the in house use of P&ID’s throughout the plant, so operators to engineers could easily understand the drawings. Completed a wide variety of computer drawings, including piping, mechanical, civil, and structural with specialization in tactical ordinance.

• Lead a team of three to four people to interpret ISO drawing for the purpose of identifying inspection points for Process Safety Management standpoint.

• Worked on various projects using AutoCAD or Microstation depending which engineer assigned work, routing new pipe and placement of new equipment. Created fabrication drawings for FRP elements in the T4-Top project. Updated P&ID’s and piping plans as new equipment was installed.

• Creating Fab Iso-metrics from the plans and elevation drawing with a complete Bill of Materials for each drawing. Reto fitting an existing refinery to bring back into production for the Science International, Greece Project.

• Completed a full Photo Film project, consisted of design of a sanitary process. Worked on P&ID’s and piping plans of skid system for each process to incorporate new equipment and design new process for the expansion of the Greenwood, South Carolina plant.

• Completed one-month field contract for Engelhard as Pipe Designer and CAD operator. Worked on P&ID to incorporate new equipment for increased production.

• Worked numerous assignments for various chemical, pulp and paper, & refinery corporations:
• Four months for Solutia, Pensacola, Florida – Conducted walk down of systems for creating ISO’s for Process Safety Management Study; made CAD ISO’s for PSM regular use.
• One year for Shell Chemical, Saraland, Alabama – Designed placement of new cooling water lines and sweet crude oil line; redesigned truck loading facility; created ISO’s for bottleneck elimination project. Updated P&ID’s to match in field placements.
• Eight months, International Paper (various plants) – Worked P&ID’s to incorporate field changes to bring drawings to current standards. Updated Valve spec’s and Instrumentation (controls) on P&ID’s.
• One month for Chevron, Lake Charles, Louisiana – Created Fab ISOs and Bill of Materials from plan drawings.
• Five months with Nelson Engineering, New Orleans, Louisiana – Worked on Preport-Indonesia project; Coordinated and maintained quality of P&ID’s for overall project; Designed equipment layouts and elevations.
• Two years for Department of Energy, New Orleans, Louisiana office – Worked on Strategic Petroleum Reserve project creating P&ID’s, piping plans, site layout and checked drawing packages to ensure no conflict between disciplines; Held DOE Security Clearance.

• Completed all CAD work for Maintenance Department. Interfaced professionally with engineer to redesign Centrifuge Main Housing, Dry Blower Seal Housing and Sleeve, Blower Seal Housing and Sleeve. Created Fab drawing for manufacturing these parts. Dismantled and reassembled centrifuge to create other Fab drawings. Performed P&ID walk downs to bring all P&ID’s up to OSHA Standards.

• Performed all CAD work for Engineering Department, including P&ID’s, schematics, equipment and lighting layouts, and elementary motor schematics. Job was supposed to have lasted for six months, but I finished their back-log drawing changes in one month.

• Completed E&I drawings for corporate engineering for 20 plants in Southeast Region. Worked night shift and gave out work assignments to three other CAD operators, back checked their work, along with doing my own assigned drawing work.

Completed E&I drawings for engineering consulting firm. Completed wide variety of computer drawings, including P&IDs, schematics, lighting layouts, and motor elementary schematics, with specialization on the pulp and paper industries and chemical plants.
