Work History

Customer Business Development Assistant Manager

Hamilton Beach Brands
Glen Allen, Virginia
05.2023 - 06.2025
  • Promoted to a bigger desk of business. Took over responsibility of the garment care business at both Target ($1.5M business) and Walmart ($30M business).
  • I was the liaison between our internal sales team and marketing team to collaborate on line review presentations and maintaining current store placements by running P&Ls, working through channel conflicts with other retailers, pulling Circana data, and building PowerPoint presentations.
  • Additionally, I worked with ID, Creative, and Engineering teams while collaborating with my marketing counterparts to help build ground up new innovative products.
  • With the help of the sales and marketing teams, we presented to the buyers at both Target and Walmart at their respective headquarters to gain new placements and grow our business both digitally and in store.
  • I held the same responsibility with Meijer grocery retail stores as well. I worked with marketing and sales to collaborate on presentations for the buyers at Meijer to gain new in store placements and maintain our current SKUs, which we had 56 SKUs on shelf in all Meijer stores across the Midwest.
  • I held the category captain management position and would run detailed data reports using Circana total market data along with Meijer ALR data to show how Meijer was performing against total market.
  • I would meet monthly with the Buyers, assistant buyers, and director of SKA and garment care segments to speak of category trends and where Meijer was winning and where there was room for improvement.
  • I was in charge of both Review Camp and Bazaar Voice databases, which were our review and ratings systems to maintain reviews across the entire Hamilton Beach Brand product lines and generating new reviews through campaigns with outside consumers.
  • After collecting the reviews I worked with the respective retail teams to make sure reviews were flowing correctly to their sites.
  • I would additionally work with our quality team to make sure negative reviews were being handled for the given products so that engineering could address product issues.
  • I would pull reports for different teams on how items were doing and where star ratings were for given products and the trends of reviews across different product lines.

  • Was in charge of all displays for the company across various retailers including but not limited to Walmart, Target, Kohls, Macys, Meijer, BJs, HEB, and Kroger.
  • I worked with multiple teams to ensure all parts of the display process ran smoothly.
  • This included first meeting with marketing and sales to talk through the needs of the retailer.
  • I would then work with various display companies to quote out the projects to ensure the company was getting the best price for the display and whether the project should be completed domestically or overseas.
  • Simultaneously I was working with the suppliers and factories to ensure materials were available and timelines to ensure we were meeting the retailers deadlines.
  • I would then work with creative teams to make sure we were getting all of the correct information on the display needed to talk through the innovative features of the product.
  • On top of that I was in charge of all customer assortment updates to ensure all new items at various retailers were listed so that marketing teams could use them for their product strategies throughout the year.
