As a front end supervisor my role is to run the front end in an efficient manner using tools like AS400 to plan our labor needs according to needs of the business and controlling number of registers open at a given time based on our door counts. Being a front end supervisor comes with different responsibilities from dealing with upset members and member complaints to running employees lunches and breaks in a timely manner. While supervising in the front end I am also performing refund audits ensuring we are minimizing mistakes from our refund clerks.
While the warehouse is open and we are busy I am responsible for maintaining the floor blocked down and up to costco standards to efficiently be able to take care of our members. At the end of the night when closing I am in charge of ensuring the floor is blocked down 100% and the front end clean and ready for the following morning.
As a front end supervisor my primary job is to ensure me and my employees are providing excellent member service to all our members!
As a receiving driver I was responsible for unloading trucks in a fast and efficient manner all while following safety standards. When working as the dock driver I controlled the flow of trucks getting unloaded and merchandise going out to the floor for drivers to handle the freight. When there was no more room in steel I was responsible for organizing freight in the dock in a safe and efficient manner to make room for incoming trucks throughout the day.
While in receiving I got cross trained as the RTV back up to help cover vacations for our RTV clerks and cover sick calls. I was also cross trained in receiving to help cover days off for our receiving clerk and help expedite the process of getting our merchandise in the door and out to the warehouse floor.
As a morning driver i drove hardlines, produce and sundries in which my priorities were to ensure all new items referred to as HOTS were put out on floor and merchandised properly. After ensuring floor was merchandised and all new items were out my focus was clearing the floor and hanging merchandise on the steel. When hanging merchandise I had to ensure all boards were not broken and merchandise was wrapped to the pallet with shrink wrap. The goal was to have floor cleared of empty boards and merchandise so we can roll the door on time and open the warehouse.
Drove night merch receiving, was in charge of unloading and tagging merchandise from trucks to ensure accurate quantities. While unloading merchandise I sorted load by departments and ensure merchandise was ran to its corresponding area of the warehouse.
Stocked the produce department implementing costco's six rights of merchandising and following FIFO. Following departments SSOPs I had to ensure merchandise was rotated based on dates and quality. Our goal was to make sure we were showtime ready by time doors opened.
