• Conducting initial pet examinations, including interviews with pet owners,
reviews of past care plans, completing laboratory tests and taking diagnostic
imaging
• Taking vital signs, collecting samples and bandaging wounds
• Setting up surgical equipment, assisting with anesthesia, monitoring machines
during surgery and cleaning up the area post-surgery
• Ensuring all in-house animals are fed, hydrated and kept in a clean environment
• Maintaining documentation and animal care records
• Suggesting preventative and maintenance health plans to pet owners
• Prepping patient for surgery or Iv Xuids by placing catheters and taking B-rays
that are required for each unique case.
