Responsible for planning and delivering construction projects, ensuring that the work is completed on time and within budget. I oversee construction teams, liaise with clients and construction professionals, and establish regular communication with key stakeholders using three-week look-ahead schedules.

My duties include managing Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, and change orders. I plan the construction project, create a construction schedule, and define the scope of work and deliverables. I also balance the budget, drafting and submitting a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements while managing costs to stay on budget.

Additionally, I assign tasks to contractors and subcontractors and manage relationships with both subcontractors and suppliers. I track project activities from start to finish and provide progress updates regarding costs and timelines as needed. Furthermore, I obtain necessary permits, approvals, and other regulatory requirements and manage risks throughout the project.

  • Assist throughout the project, including during the buyout and procurement processes, while maintaining the budget and schedule. Collaborate with the Superintendent during field walks to review the quality of delivered and installed materials. Support project teams in coordinating the craft pre-hire and post-hire processes. Onboard craft personnel as requested, which includes creating and distributing new hire packets. Conduct audits of craft time entries, facilitate corrections, and input data into the appropriate systems daily. Manage payroll processes on a weekly basis and make necessary corrections prior to posting.

Assisted in providing a solution on constructability of architectural retaining wall, by eliminating form work rental and suggesting alternate design to comply with traditional form work thus saving company $11-13M of assigned budget of material and labor.
  • Rivian Laguna Beach Theater $6m - helped with the design solution for the stadium seating form work by suggesting an alternative use of concrete slurry, which reduced the need for lumber and eliminated stem walls. The design change approval saved $750k in labor and material costs.
  • Applied Medical $3.5m – new warehouse, structural concrete scope of work. Assisted in coming up with a solution to a trench budget bust, scope of work for trench was missed. Provided a suggestion to eliminate amount of trenching and route electrical trenches in a more conventional way, after numerous exchanges with design team changes where approved, change order was approved for the Time and material spent making the budget bust into a 16k gain.

  • In this role, I was responsible for onboarding field personnel. My duties included administering safety videos, conducting drug tests, and completing the WOTC survey. I assisted in preparing the new hire package and explained company policies and the employee handbook. Additionally, I provided support concerning employee benefits.

    I managed all I-9 and W-2 forms, along with E-Verify processes. On average, I hired 20 employees per week. I also completed payroll for field staff, which included certified payroll and OCIP for over 100 employees. My record-keeping responsibilities involved handling five union craft request forms and monitoring local hire percentages, as well as reporting local hire apprentice ratios to meet MBE requirements.

    This position required travel between job sites and demanded adherence to tight deadlines. I used Excel for reporting purposes, along with E-Verify, and utilized our in-house tool for background checks. Additionally, I attended all job fairs to recruit new talent.
