As a Financial Mathematics major, I am passionate about applying mathematical models to real-life problems based on a strong foundation regarding data analysis, financial modeling, and other areas, as well as proficiency in using a variety of tools. As a student who has studied in China, the United States, Japan, and Singapore, I am fluent in multiple languages and am very tolerant of multicultural communication. I have also worked as a leader many times, with my proficiency in communicating with people, time management, and team working.
With J2K, a dance crew focusing on performing K-pop, J-pop and C-pop, I have performed multiple times with them, including end of year show, which I took place as a leader and did choreography teaching, and Dance with J2K, which I collaborated with APIDA clubs to help, teach dance to, and perform with them
Since my major is Financial Mathematics, I am involved in the acturial club where I attend lectures by professors in the acturoal field and learn software in the acturial field, such as the R language. At the same time, I met students and professors in the same filed.
This is a club to explore the intersection of arts and business within the entertainment industry. As a member of this club, I have learned a lot about the commercialization of music, the film industry, and many other fields. Also, based on my interest in K-pop, I lectured on the commercialization of K-pop in the United States.
Waseda University's Summer Session is a six-week program held in Tokyo, Japan. I took "Dynamic and Innovation in the Japanese Retail Market" and Japanese Popular Culture: Globalization, Cultural Production/Consumer and Creative Ecology" during the session. For each session, I did group final projects to show my understanding of Japan.
As a member, I was involved in planning the sex education science classroom. I was also involved in contacting sanitary production companies to provide as many girls as possible with good-quality sanitary pads at the cheapest prices.
As a developing country, China is relatively backward in terms of educational resources in many areas. This organization provides these areas with free English teaching while at the same time giving participants a better understanding of the scarcity of education. In this volunteer program, I organized a team with my classmates, and I was in charge of the teaching portion of this program, providing free English instruction to families in backward areas of China.
