SHOP AND TRADE PRACTICES: I am knowledgeable within our shop having demonstrated various shop processes, standards and able to meet shop expectations, including completing a project from start to finish with a keen eye for detail and first-time quality by tailoring my work to our manuals and verbatim compliance. I am able to assist in and trouble shooting minor equipment failures via our safety guidelines to allow work avoid work stoppages. WATERFRONT EXPERIENCE: I have experience on various waterfront projects including submarines, aircraft carriers, and buildings. I have mastered the in-shop processes in accordance of our manuals fully confident my work is satisfactory, keeping in mind our work may be low risk but treating it essential as it can affect the end result to complete our mission. I am fully capable of understanding our safety guidelines and maintaining preventive maintenance on our tools/machinery via the JHA. Initiating essential inspections, cleaning procedures, and mechanical checks. I have overseen many newer employees mentoring them on our shop procedures and educating them on inventive techniques for ease of the job. I diligently wear proper Personal Protective Equipment and practice high safety standards holding myself and other to ensure a safe working environment for everyone. Practicing daily Injury Prevention Every Day -(IPED), following safety signage, ensuring commercial clean with all job/projects, and using ergonomically correct practices. COMMUNICATION: Proficient at communicating and have established excellent report with supervisors, fellow employees and support trades. I have maintained good working relationships modeling positively, inclusion, and empathy whilst using a honest and direct approach. Becoming a seasoned speaker I have spearheaded many in shop and out of shop briefs, going over shop procedures, thoroughly highlighting our Six P’s. Paper work, People, Place, Parts, Prevention, and Post work. I delegate tasks to the crew when leading projects, I have the ability to inspire my coworkers, and revitalize their spirits to boost moral keeping production on schedule. I consistently communicate with my supervisors, work leaders and team to ensure they are updated on all projects and/or concerns. TEAMWORK: Individually I am a reasonable worker and can generate quality work with minimal supervision. However, I am a highly self-motivated and capable of worker.
