Provide care for all animals at the San Diego Zoo. Specializing in anesthesia for a wide variety of species including avian, marsupial, primate, hoofstock, reptile, large carnivores and felids. Excels in anesthesiology, IV catheterization and phlebotomy. Radiology, dental, laparoscopy, endoscopy, surgery, ICU care, and neonate exams. Teaching and mentoring veterinary and technician students, training new RVT's and doctors. Maintain pharmaceutical supplies, ordering, inventory, disposal, communication with vendors. Controlled drug logging, and dispensing. Responsible for our biomaterial's collection, which include the frozen zoo, and our technician internship program.

Surgical assistant, patient monitoring and scrub nurse, endoscopy and radiology. Fluid administration and overnight care for up to twelve hospitalized horses.
