As a result of my time as a student teacher with Arlington Remote Academy, I completed 200 hours as a teaching assistant, and 100 hours of solo teaching time. I was able to learn how to provide effective education in an online, remote setting and I provided special education services to students with IEPs in both inclusion and pull out settings. In addition, I also took over providing all services for two consecutive weeks and gained experience working with students in grade levels K-2 with a variety of disabilities including Specific Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Autism, and Down Syndrome. I created lesson plans and analyzed assessment results to further improve my ability to meet the diverse needs of each student.
