As the Assistant Director of the Recreation Department, I handle all media and public relations inquiries while maintaining an up-to-date department organizational chart. I am also responsible for supervising eight Recreation Activity Leaders and complying with state regulations. I am responsible for creating monthly activity calendars, maintain daily activities for a census of 300 residents and planning outings and special events. I specialize in working with resident that suffer from Alzheimer's disease and dementia of all stages. Having a strong camaraderie with the community, residents and their families is a must. CNA duties and therapy are also a highly important part of each day. Resident care and health is the number one responsibility each day.
