Jim P. Vigil

A seasoned and compassionate pastoral leader with over 30 years of ministry experience, including roles as Lead Pastor, Family Pastor, Church Planter, Discipleship Pastor, Young Adult Pastor, and Small Groups Pastor. With a proven track record of shepherding congregations through spiritual formation, biblical teaching, and relational discipleship, I bring a deep commitment to gospel-centered ministry rooted in the authority of Scripture and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. My leadership is marked by integrity, authenticity, and a heart for pastoral care, with a strong emphasis on pastoral care and developing healthy church systems that foster growth and connection.

I hold advanced degrees in pastoral counseling and Christian education and have served as a professor in biblical studies and pastoral theology, equipping the next generation of ministry leaders. I also bring experience in crisis response, chaplaincy, and spiritual formation, which has sharpened my ability to minister to individuals and families in all seasons of life. Passionate about cross-cultural ministry and church health, I have a vision to lead Berkley Chapel with spiritual discernment, strategic humility, and a focus on raising up disciples who reflect the image of Christ.

As a relational leader with a shepherd’s heart, I am excited about the opportunity to steward the next season of Berkley Chapel’s mission—reaching Auburndale and beyond with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.
