  • Led the team on oversight and coordination for both the ODNI Private Sector Working Group, and the 18-member intelligence community (IC) private sector engagement group.
  • Launched a new customer resource management (CRM) tool for ODNI. The CRM enables the intelligence community to better track its engagement with partners and make better decisions on outreach and partnerships.
  • Managed the IC's development of an Immersive Technology Strategy with input from industry partners, Microsoft, Google, NVIDIA, and Meta.
  • Managed the development of the IC's Front Door for the private sector that brought in over 30 new contractors, partners and expand the IC’s engagement with the private sector.
  • Launched an IC-wide training seminar, the Partner Leadership Series, which provides real time training on stakeholder engagement, Generative Artificial Intelligence for collection and analysis; legal and procurement aspects to private sector engagement; conducting outreach and engagement; and the future of the partnership officer

  • Led the Federal Government’s 24 member Interagency Policy Committee to advance the work of innovation and partnerships and successfully added HHS and NSF new partnership offices..
  • Wrote a report to the President on the status of partnerships across the government, with recommendations to improve the Federal Government's capacity to partner.
  • Developed the Administration’s outreach to business, civil society, think tanks, and academia for the G7, the President’s Democracy Summit, food security and water policy, resulting in better informed policy.
  • Provided strategic direction to millions of dollars of donations to the U.S Government agencies and NGOs working on the resettlement of the Afghan refugees in the United States, which led to the refugees having clothing, bedding and baby formula on U.S. bases.

  • Coordinated and led the 23 Federal Agencies Interagency Working Group on Public-Private Partnerships and created this platform for sharing best practices and policies as it relates to partnerships.
  • Managed the Department’s Diplomacy Lab, a partnership with 36 universities, including minority serving institutions that serves as a course-sourcing mechanism to assist the Department with research and programs. As a result, we received over 100 university-led research projects that provided the Department with insights and products on significant national security issues.
  • Pioneered the Department’s first use of the innovative co-creation process for an $11M USG investment in Libyan Airport Security. Using my extensive experience as a former Contracting Officer, I developed a design-thinking workshop where the grant applicants could build their knowledge on the issues and get additional perspectives on successful approaches. As a result, we received 11 significantly better proposals that would enhance airport security.
  • I have successfully led my team into three additional co-creation awards and have instituted this practice at the Department of State.
  • Developed and led a team for the Secretary of State's 40 city, six continents, global Fishackathon for sustainable fishing. This hackathon was the world’s second largest and developed over 100 applications to address ocean issues such as overfishing, illegal fishing and acidification.
  • I further secured partnerships and sponsorships with Virgin LLC, Sir Richard Branson, McDonald's, The Coca Cola Company, The Economist, Cisco, Microsoft, IBM and aquariums and tech hubs around the world.
  • Created an accelerator event for potential partnerships to counter propaganda abroad resulting in 9 new awards that successfully integrated their technology and approaches into the Department's test bed for threat response.
  • Created and implemented the Secretary of State’s Faith and Human Rights partnership to address Africa's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community rights through the prism of faith. As a result, I helped develop a support network for their ministries with the LGBTQI community.
  • Conducted a capital campaign that raised $70M for the President’s Young African Leadership Initiative's four regional leadership centers in Africa.

  • Lead the team of government economists, compliance, and legal officials to produce the study for the TSA Administrator’s submission of a report to Congress.
  • Coordinated a team of external industry experts of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee to provide input to the TSA Administrator’s study.
  • Conducted inspections of airport operations and interviewed senior airport and airline officials to gain insights for the report to Congress.
  • Directed a nationwide survey of the 434 federalized airports to assess their current systems for screening of aviation workers.

  • Led and managed the 23 member NSC Interagency Policy Committee on Community Partnerships and added non-security related Federal Agencies including the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service and Peace Corps to bring their partnership policies and expertise to serve as examples for adoption.
  • Wrote the White House’s Building Partnerships Best Practices Guide that continues to provide Federal Agencies with a policy framework for industry engagement.
  • Drafted an Executive Order for Public-Private Partnerships.
  • Identified and trained 100 U.S Government Attorneys at the White House on best practices and authorities and the law regarding public-private partnerships.
  • Provided NSC oversight to the Department of Homeland Security’s QHSR study group on partnerships.

  • Produced the first ever government-hosted TED Conference. The surprising result was the forecasted of the use of Twitter in the activist led Arab-Spring.
  • Developed the Secretary of State’s Global Equality Fund which is now the largest funder of the LGBT human rights around the world. LGBT human rights are criminalized in over 70 countries with 5 countries who still impose the death penalty for same sex relations. The Secretary of State’s fund is now over $70M with 15 countries and 12 private sector organizations as contributing partners and is operating in 80 countries around the world.
  • Developed and led in-person and virtual training for State Department and other government officials on public-private partnerships.
  • Developed an online PPP Training Course that has been taken by over 500 Department of State around the world.
  • Represented the Department in an official capacity with cabinet level government officials, industrial leaders and foundation contacts to develop collaborative partnerships and initiatives.
