JIMOH JAWARA OLORO

My name is Jimoh Jawara Oloro, I was born on the 18th of September 1965, in Owo local government area of Ondo State of Nigeria. I attended Imade College Owo and passed out in 1982, then proceeded to Government Technical College, Owo, where I studied Electrical Installation Practices and passed out in 1986. I joined the Nigerian Army briefly in 1986 and left the Voluntarily in 1995. In 1988, while i was in the Army I proceeded to Ondo State Polytechnic, Owo, where I studied Electrical Electronics Engineering and passed out in 1991, I again went further to Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin where I studied Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and passed out in 1995.

I worked briefly at Ondo State Teaching Service Commission as a class Teacher between 1999 and 2001. I joined the services of the Federal University of Technology, Akure as an Audiovisual Technologist II and had risen to the position of a Senior Technologist (AV).

The position I hold until now.

In 2013, I went to New Delhi to study Video Editing where i was awarded a Post Graduate Diploma Certificate in Non-Linear Video Editing in 20213.

I was awarded the best Admin and Technical Staff in 2008.

• Collaborated with team of 6 in the development of the Use of Audiovisual equipment and materials.
• Achieved result by introducing the use of Library software for library book loan service tasks.
• Supervised team of 6 staff members.
• Documented and resolved the issues of overdue book on loan which led to retrieval of long overdue books on loan to students and staff.
