I have only just started my position as a teacher's assistant. I worker as the assistant for Summerville's filmmaking/photography teacher. Although this experience is still new, I am learning more each day about leadership, communication, and flexibility.
My passion is to one day work in cinema as either a director, producer, or cinematographer. I have taken three years of high school filmmaking classes and currently take Studio Broadcast. I write screen plays for short films I want to make. I then use my personal camera and film equipment to shoot the project. Then I edit on my laptop on either Adobe Premiere Pro or iMovie. I also take picture with the same camera or with my phone. I am also self-taught in using Adobe Lightroom. I have an Instagram where I post both my films and photos.
I love the outdoors. I have been on numerous hiking and backpacking trips with my family, church, and Boy Scout troop. I also train pack goats to carry heavy baggage while following long trails. Skiing is a yearly tradition my family does at Dodge Ridge. I have the skills of an average skier. I have been rock climbing since the age of twelve. I have climbed on indoor walls at Class Five Fitness and outdoors at Kennedy Meadows. In the summer of 2023, my went to Ontario, Canada with the same troop to go on a 75 mile lake canoeing trip. There I developed skills such as strength, endurance, patience, and hard work.
I have two different disabilities. Autism Spectrum Disorder and Tourette Syndrome. I was diagnosed with Autism at the age of two. Growing up it was harder for me to learn how to communicate and pay attention in school. I had a special needs aid help me with learning during and after school up until second grade. I am now much higher functioning than I was at a younger age and am excelling at school and learning.
I was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome at age of nine. I has been harder to deal with because Touettes can be highly unpredictable. It tends to come and go during different seasons of the years. And new Touettes can happen at any point. While I still struggle with it today, I have not let it get in the way of myself succeeding.
