For the past 25 years I have worked for many clients ;a list of references can be furnaced upon request . I assist private clients in their homes to complete all daily living tasks, from partial assistance to complete care. In addition , I have obtained an associates degree in nursing . I completed all clinicals towards that degree at GF Hospital , Saratoga Hospitals Telemetry Unit , Four Winds , Bellevue for maternity and Wesley’s nursing home. I then began working two jobs . One as a GN at saratoga hospitals telemetry unit as I continued taking care of the elderly in their homes. Over the past twenty five years I have never been without someone needing my assistance to remain in their home. As I weighed my options I found that helping this population. Remain in their homes was the career that was where my heart is . Additional , I have taken many classes to ensure I could ensure to meet the needs of my clientele . I’ve gone to saint peters at the request of a client so I could take care of her tracheotomy and trouble shoot her ventilator I’ve learned to hang peritoneal dialysis for another, who happened to be a hemiplegic . I took care of a woman with a colostomy bag . I’ve taken care of a gentleman with Gillian bar syndrome . Finally, I took and passed the NY state class and exam for emts’s and over the next year I worked at four local squads as a volunteer as an emt . I even earned the top call taker at one. Currently I’m taking care of a married couple who is 100 and 97 to remain independent. When I started working for them , he only had the expectation of living another 6 months . And three years later both he and his wife are still residing in the cottage they love ,together . His last wish was that they stay together in the home they chose to retire in . And I am grateful to be part of the team that has made that possible .
