After graduating from UCIrvine in social sciences, I broadened my studies to the sciences (microbiology, organic chemistry, physics, nutrition, physiology, anatomy) at Irvine Valley College while also assisting practitioners at the wellness clinic and performing for the Ice Dogs Hockey Team. This experience took me into my love of coaching competitive figure skating for 15 years. Upon becoming a single parent, I continued to use my skills in coaching and teaching by obtaining my license to substitute teach at all elementary and secondary grade schools in the Douglas County School District. During the time of homeschooling my daughter, I also nannied and tutored students and eventually branched out as caregiver to special needs children and obtained my nursing assistant license to help adults and the elderly. My goal is to take the same compassion led care and role modeling into my future career as a mental health therapist.
