• Provide support to staff thru communication regarding procedures, medications, or other concerns
• Reinforce the importance of teaching and handling triage calls as well as documenting accurately in Athena system

• Obtain pre-authorizations from insurance carriers for patient medications, review denial reasons and advocate for patients while obtaining approval/denial letters, informing providers of results and providing appeal services

• Assist the patients in day to day activities like bathing, dressing, general grooming and feeding

• Assist veterinary staff in scheduling surgeries and procedures
• Help facilitate cases/admits/transfers from referral veterinarians

• Prepare/complete any necessary paperwork
• Dispensing medications from phone requests, clinic appointments, and for patients being discharged from the hospital

• Assist residents with or perform Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
• Obtain and record vital signs and weight for each patient
