Summary

Socrates said, “Education is the kindling of the flame, not the filling of a vessel”. This quote stands true for my style of teaching. Creating an environment that fuels the flame toward learning is a skill I have developed throughout my lifetime. It is rewarding to watch the student’s in my classroom have “aha moments”. Moments when they have internalized the information presented and make it part of their core knowledge. As a thoughtful, compassionate teacher I can connect with students from a variety of social emotional needs. Committed to providing a safe, comfortable learning environment in which students thrive.
