During the Covid 19 influenza outbreak within the Skilled Nursing Facilities, I recognized the need for improved monitoring and administration of Monoclonal Antibody medications, which were new and untested in the facilities. this caused great concern and fear of implementing the medications, Identify required monitoring, needed protocols had to be written as well as the consent form needed to receive the medications. I established the clinic in one of my facilities, wrote the protocols in concert with Pharmacists participation and oversite, wrote the consent form to receive the medications and managed the entire process from identifying the appropriate patients, acquiring the consent to administer the monoclonal antibody, participated with staff in administering the medication, post administration monitoring and education of family, patients, and staff. It was successful, spread to other facilities and enhanced patient lives.
