  • The main goal of this position was to convert the existing Community Health Center at AHEC Southwest to a Federally Qualified Community Health Center and receive enhanced reimbursement.
  • The Board reviewed researched options provided and decided the best path to become an FQAHC was to partner with an existing provider and serve as a satellite clinic in Texarkana. Once the existing provider was located and an agreement was obtained, the board dissolved, and the clinic was managed by the partner, Good Shepherd Hospital in Marshall. This position was dissolved, and I became unemployed in July 2012.
