Virginia Life Saver Award

Earned during my rookie year as a Deputy Sheriff at Culpeper County Sheriffs Office for providing life saving measures when proper equipment was not available. I used my resources on hand and was able to properly and effectively create a tourniquet using a sock and a highlighter. Effectively stopping an arterial bleed from continuing, resulting in the survival of the individual.
