• Routine maintenance, editing, plotting and conversion of spatial data in a GIS environment
• Collect and prepare spatial data and associated attributes for use in GIS environment
• Perform quality assurance/quality control on department specific GIS data
• Provide research for past or current GIS maintained data when requested
• Develop, maintain and demonstrate proficiency with established GIS specific and related software, including ArcGIS Suite of products
• Continue to develop expertise in GIS; participate in workshops
• Assess and improve daily work tasks/flows as needed
• Serve outside customers when needed to provide requested information, and hardcopy documents pertaining to infrastructure records and mapping

The Damage Prevention Agents input and process locate requests electronically and telephonically using the Texas811 data input systems. Agents communicate daily with customers and members, while providing the best service in damage prevention and public safety.
