- Job duties include a full OASIS review and assignment of ICD-10 codes appropriate for each patient’s case. Currently producing 12 charts per day as required. When inconsistencies are noted in the OASIS and clinician’s documentation, corrections are made and/or suggested to the clinician per OASIS and coding guidelines. Education and rationale is provided to clinicians along with the corrections and suggestions made.
- Also review the Face-to-Face for consistency with the clinician’s focus of care as compared to provider’s focus of care, ensuring that both correlate for the episode of care.
- The Plan of Care is given a modified review for specifics such as wound care orders, best practices, and Progress to Goals.
