Originally the company was Dacas Nursing Systems. It then became Forum Health at Home and then was bought by Celtic Healthcare.
Through the course of my employment I started with private duty nursing with pediatric and adult patients with various neuromuscular diseases that required ventilators and g-tubes. I performed personal care for these patients and all care for the patients on that shift. I then moved to skilled visits which I continued doing in all my proceeding home care positions. Prior to leaving the company, I worked in the intake department and triage where I took referrals and worked directly with facilities and physicians to set up the patients in homecare. i followed up with the current patient's changing wound care and lab orders and reported results directly to the physicians who ordered the treatments.
At this small 24 bed nursing facility, I was the night charge nurse. I administered treatments and medications to physically and mentally handicapped patients. I worked primarily with the geriatric MRDD and psychiatric population. I did assessments and monitored patient's vitals signs and ever changing medical needs. We provided all personal care for the patients on our shift as well and reported all changes and concerns to the house physician.
