Jody Gorsh

Iowa City,IA

Summary

I am a licensed Master Electrician with proven skills in electrical installations, troubleshooting and job management. Professional level of work in all aspects of electrical installation and repair. I always handle myself in a polite and professional manor, offering clients excellent service and expert advice in electrical systems and many other areas of construction. I am a very detail oriented person and electrician. Maintaining a daily respect for the people around me and the work I do. I started Gorsh Electric because I believed in doing things better than just the minimum. I have always prided myself in doing things right the first time. Unfortunately I grew tired of employee turnover, chasing customers down for money and the long hours working on billing and bidding at night. So, I came to the University to work as an electrician and eliminate some stress. It has been a big change, but one I have been getting used to. I have taken on projects that add more work to my schedule. Mostly in the form of putting together Lighting upgrades for building through the Universities Energy Matrix. This just made sense to do, even though it was above and beyond my job description.
