  • One of two Senior Mining Superintendents responsible for day to day operation of 4 to 6 open pits utilizing fleet of 200 ton and 150 ton excavators loading fleet of 30 ton trucks
  • Target of 120k tons of material moved per day of ore and waste

  • The road design was to include a mining haul road 18 meters in width and a small vehicle road of 12 meters divided by a 1.5 safety berm
  • Using 5 Cat 785 excavators and 40 Cat 740 Articulated trucks moving 1.5 million BCM to clear the area for the ore processing plant placing it in the engineered fill of no more than 50 cm per lift for the tailing dam
  • Built a 15 meter wide 3 km long haul road from the mine to the processing plant along a narrow ridge that was less than 5 meters wide in areas with drop-offs of over 50 meters on each side
  • All was completed within budget.
