As one who has always been fascinated by the world of science fiction, I have a strong passion for all things innovative and technological. This passion has pushed me to be dedicated to my studies, and has shaped not only my dreams, but also my goals and aspirations. Now as a Biomedical Engineer with sufficient skills in computer coding, project management, critical-thinking, and teamwork, I am looking forward to applying my knowledge and passion towards research into the future of technology and pushing the boundaries of cybernetics for the betterment of mankind.

Project Management Intern

Developed a project plan for the "Precinct 2 Advancement Centers" from start to finish within a team

  • Advancement Centers were Precinct owned buildings offering free college courses, GED courses, standardized testing (such as TSI and GED), and ESL classes to the community
  • Identified project scopes, constraints, risks, budgets, and deadlines
  • Networked with various local and state organizations for collaboration, grants, and/or advice
  • Created flyers, infographics, interest/intake forms, and calendars for the program
  • Assisted in developing a work schedule for employees of the Advancement Centers

Reinstated and organized a program known as the "Precinct 2 Tech Bus"

  • The Tech Bus was a bus equipped with laptops and mobile hotspots made public for the community
  • Developed a curriculum to teach young children how to code utilizing Code.org
  • Co-taught children how to code along-side lessons online

Assisted at the "Precinct 2 Indoor Sports Complex"

  • Handled customers, organized scheduling of appointments, took phone calls to the establishment, and made sure COVID-19 protocols were met
  • Assisted in coaching children coming for baseball lessons along-side ex-MLB players

IC² Institute Home to Texas Research Program

  • Program involved getting paired with an internship from my hometown and doing human based research
  • Research was done by holding interviews with various community members of specified sectors regarding the strengths, weaknesses, and other aspects of our community
  • The transcriptions from the interviews were cleaned and then compared, making note of the most commonly shared concerns and opinions within the community
  • The data collected from the research will be used to provide more effective financial support to the more impoverished areas of Texas
