Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develop and mentor a strong quality team that supports a world class quality control program.
  • Oversaw the quality assurance / quality control program of contract client.
  • Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.
  • Develop innovative solutions to meet contractors’ and customers’ needs.
  • Properly interpret regulations, codes and industry standards such as ASME section I, VIII, IX, & AWS, D1.1, B 31.1, B 31.3, API 1104.
  • Review, interpret and implement complex contract documents to standards specifications.
  • Proficient with standard computer software (MS Word and Excel) able to write detailed inspection and shutdown reports while maintaining an organized system of files.
  • Perform welder verification testing, including verification of welder identification.
  • Develop and maintain Electronic Document Logs for Weld Inspection, maps, ISO’S, P&ID’S, NCR, Hydro, as part of contractual completed turnover packages to the clients.
  • Develop weld plans per job specific criteria, review weld plan with Supervision. Follow up to ensure we have effectively communicated weld plan specific with the welding operators.
  • Set-up and implement Filler metal control program and audit the process.
  • Identify the method for welder-to-welder traceability.
  • Conduct regular walk downs and inspections of construction projects, audit work in progress or completed.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections, fit-up inspection, and doc reviews of finished, and jobs in process.
  • Initiate NCRs for non-conforming material. Follow-up on disposition of NCR to assure appropriate handling or rework of non-conforming material.
  • Set up the NDT program from Subcontractor. Monitor the volumetric test and discuss rejects with the welding operators, retrain, as necessary.
  • Monitor and review required testing by third party inspection.
  • Record the completion and sign-off of hydrostatic testing.
  • Set up the Hydrogen Bake Out & PWHT program, monitor PWHT results for compliance.
  • Inspection of tanks, piping, pressure vessels, valves and pumps.
  • Verify flanged piping bolt-up, tensioning and verification activities.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC assistant to assure that all reports and releases notifications are up to date.
  • Surveillance of contracted third-party subs, verification of contractual responsibility.
  • Weekly audits of the company Quality control manual, to ensure the health of the program.
