Responsible for maintaining steady operating conditions and adjusting operational setpoints to allow the plant to reach its production targets and overcome issues that threaten the safety conditions or output of the kilns
Monitor work performance of kiln crewmen and perform other administrative duties as necessary to ensure safe and compliant operation of the facility
Assign responsibilities and brief crewmen on planned activities and daily expectations
Perform walk-arounds for inspecting material conditions and housekeeping
Mentor new employees
Understand all applicable operational and regulatory requirements and ensure operations, deviations, and testing conforms to these requirements
Analyze data and prepare boardwalks for both technical and non-technical audiences on various subjects
Act as plant interface on environmental, safety, and quality assurance compliance issues in support of operations
