With over 42 years experience in financial services I have helped several thousand individuals, business owners, business executives, agri-business owners and operators, as well as all types of contractors from construction through petroleum based operations. I have assisted all of these types of clients to improve their cash flow, lower taxes, and to enhance their personal estate and retirement plans and to maximize the performance of their portfolios without undue risk.

At the same time, for those with estates large enough to be impacted by estate taxes we have designed and implemented estate plans that significantly reduced the effective cost of the estate tax by as much as 65%. And at the same time we have helped others to effectively lower capital gains to as low as 0% to 10% as opposed to 28% and up to 37% for short term capital gains.

• Grew up in the Texas Panhandle in a farming and ranching family
• While in college started farming and running cattle
• Farmed and custom farmed about 5,000 acres of which I owned 1440 acres
• Ran “stocker” calves (1000 to 1200 head/yr) growing them from 350 lbs to 750 lbs so they attained “feeder” status and sold the feeders to commercial buyers who placed them into feed yards and grew them to 1200-1500 lb “fats”. Ultimate size determined by the breed of cattle
• Ran a custom harvesting operation for wheat, grain sorghum, corn, and sugar beets
• Ran a small dirt contracting business
• Farmed and operated a small conditioning yard for stocker cattle until age 32 (1982)
• Licensed as a Texas real estate broker in 1978
• Brokered oil production equipment including large pumps, generators, & drilling rigs 1976 – 1983
• Located machine equipment such as lathes and drill presses, and negotiated the purchase and delivery to Drillco Industries of Houston for the manufacture of drill stem and drill bits for drilling oil and gas wells in TX, OK, and WY 1978 – 1979
• Raised money for oil drilling programs primarily in the Austin Chalk in Central TX 1976 -1983
• Our current agency, www.RocketWealth.com is the number 2 life producer for a large FMO out of Houston that is part of the Big 3 FMO’s. In 2021 I personally qualified as being in the top 3 reps out of 8500 reps
• Work with a firm that if you qualify for the legal strategies that they offer it is possible to lower the effective tax rate to 10%.
