Professional mechanic that is detailed oriented when performing repairs. I like to be organized with the equipment I work with to avoid making back and forward movements that will waste time. I have become a good troubleshooter that seeks to become an expert at performing repairs efficiently. I am very social and have great communication when it comes to speaking to upper management. I consider myself a hard worker that likes to learn new skills every day. My passion to working hard and to not give up is my family (wife and son's), they are my pillar's for my self construction.
From October 2021-June 2023 I began with ProPetro Services as Shop Mechanic 1 in the Fluid End/Power End Department.
Conducted general maintenance on fluid end's and power end's by replacing components that were due for replacement or in bad condition.
Also conducted inspection of equipment searching for cracks or washouts that signal equipment damage that must be replaced or repaired if possible.
If equipment needed to be replaced, I would perform fluid end and power end swing's by following the procedures indicated by the ProPetro Services.
Another procedure performed was preventive maintenance of power end; replacing oil and filters. If power end was damaged, I would also follow the required procedures per ProPetro Services to perform a flush of the system and replacing components such as lube pumps and lines if contamination was severe.
From June 2023 to currently, I applied to the horsepower department with ProPetro Services and got upgraded to Shop Mechanic 2.
In horsepower department I conduct repairs on the hydraulic system, engine and transmission of frac pumps and in some instances on blenders.
When working on hydraulic system, some of the repairs that are common in performing are, hydraulic starter replacement when seal is blown out; H1 pump replacement when main seal leaks (or seal replacement) and when brass is found on system; fan motor replacement when main seal is blown out; adjustment of charge pressure when too low/high; preventive maintenance when required hours are due; flush of system, filter and line replacement (if needed) when hydraulic system is contaminated.
I perform preventive maintenance per company procedures at specific hours that include replacement of filters and oil (if needed); I also perform valve lash adjustment in both exhaust and compression strokes for (Tier 2/DGB Tier 4) frac pumps.
When working with transmission's, I do specific repairs like seal/o-ring's replacements and other general and preventive maintenance.
From September 2024 to currently, my shop-lead choose me to become his right-hand. This consists in being acting-lead when he is not available because of training or vacations. I learned how to run the shop by indicating technicians which units they will work on and what the repairs are needed to be performed. I also help by ordering parts and looking for specific parts location for certain repairs. In this position I also have to maintain frequent communication with lead and supervisor especially when big expense repairs need to be approved.
