Work History

Draelos Scholars Intern

Wake Forest Department of Neuroscience
06.2024 - 07.2024
  • I was an intern at the Wake Forest Department of Neuroscience for six weeks, where I was a part of the Stein/Rowland Lab and worked alongside PhD student mentor Daniel Porada.
  • We studied the area of multisensory integration (visual and auditory senses unified) in the superior colliculus, where we created and tested a novel virtual reality paradigm (created through UnrealEngine) to test for multisensory enhancement in individuals, with the hopes of eventually applying the positive results to aid those with sensory deficient disorders such as hemianopia/stroke-related illnesses.
  • In addition, I was granted the chance to connect and associate with multiple grad students, other Draelos Scholars, and even connect with my student mentor on a daily basis.
