A Vision Systems Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting camera-based systems that allow machines to see and inspect products automatically, ensuring accuracy and quality in manufacturing or production processes.
Eliminate equipment downtime by tracking problems to their root cause and correcting them. Specify and/or develop software to complement new equipment. Maintain records of all program changes, assembly drawings and product specifications. Make software modifications as needed to dispensing and glass cutting equipment. Adapt new products to the existing manufacturing processes. Write and modify programs for dispensing and glass cutting equipment.
Provides technical support to production personnel in all phases of manufacturing. Participates in continuous improvement activities to reduce cycle time/down-time due to set-up, change-over, processes, and/or tooling. Troubleshoots, identifies, and implements equipment/process needs/improvements in work cell layout, process flow, work standards, etc. Minimizes machine downtime affiliated with tooling, set-up, and/or processes.
Delegated daily tasks to team members to optimize group productivity. Promoted to leadership position in recognition of strong work ethic and provided exceptional customer service. In charge of assembly of raw materials and sub-assemblies as stated by operation sheets and also for the quality of the product to ensure customer requirements are being met.
In charge of troubleshooting issues with the machinery in a timely manner to prevent as much downtime and performing maintenance checks every week to assign line equipment. In charge of vision systems to ensure quality of the product and also to monitor that our machines are working properly. We often use Beckhoff ladder logic and structured text PLC systems to operate and troubleshoot our machines and Visual Studio to diagnose our HMI's. Worked in updating PCs for production lines updates or for an entire new production line launch. We were given mechanical, electrical and pneumatic blueprints in order to accomplish the machine build. After completing task, we had to work together with engineering and other technicians to debug machine before the scheduled line launch.
