- Performing various tasks from removing iron pallets off concrete piping.Grinding and patching damaged concrete pipe.As the fresh concrete pipe comes out I would shape and smooth out the pipe before it was transferred to the drying out process. Normal to do this for 50 to 120 pipes a day.
- Cleaning up work space and removing any kind of wet cemente before it hardens.Preforming proper Lock out Tag out before cleaning the heavy machinary as concrete mixers.
- Opperating Forklift to move and set up pipe cages on top of iron palets before being picked up and carried off to be filled.
- Operating Skid Loader to remove wet concrete pipes that had calapsed.Removing junk pipe out the lot to a junk pile. Moving various tipes of Sand and Gravel to the outside convayor belt of the plant so the cementing process can start.
- Operating Dingo to move stages in and out of the warehouse.
- Overhead Operator, to move pipe jackets or pipe forms from the Hawk eye stage to the floor.
- Hawk eye Operator,when the pipe cage is droped in the core with jacket.Operator must test cement if its too dry or too wet.when concrete is correct the Operator must move and ajust Hawk eye neck to pour concret around the soon to be pipe. Having knowledge when to call for more concrete,when to vibrate the core for even spread of the concrete.Then knowing when its full and ready to put iron head on the molding so then everything can be vibrated and pressurized.
- KN Machinest,making the cages for the pipe. When operating a KN machine the tasks are knowing the what size of cage is need for the day.Go to login in books and look at the specification that the cage needs as how manny spaces between welds,how open does the top and bottom bell need to be,what size wire is recomended for the size,Ext.To then plug in the correct messurement into the machines computer. This tasks ask that the operator to do full inspection of the KN machine before any set up is made. oiled properly,brass welding plates are are rotated,properly lubricated.Onced prepared and made a cage operator must measure the cage and adjust as he goes.This role is very important as if not taken seriously the cages can collapse with the pressure from the wet concrete.
