Summary
My objective is to continue to thrive and improve in life in many facets. A big part of that choice is quality of life and simply being happy for not only my family's sake but myself just as importantly. I feel as if working for the University of Oregon and what it has to offer is a step in that direction directly.

- Certified Boiler Turbine Operator
- Certified Evap Water Operator
- I am a full time pink packet BTO. I have been a certified Boiler Turbine Operator for going on 8 years and a certified Evap Water/liquor Operator for 10 years.
- Manage the entirety of the steam load for the mill, fire three gas boilers one of which is chemical and gas the 900# boiler, the other two are natural gas beingte 600# and another 900# boiler. Manage the electrical output on the Turbine in conjunction with EWEB. A roughly 30mw turbine.
- Manage the air system for the mill and environmental air opacity limits from the stacks.
- One of two Leads on each shift over the crew on shift for the Recovery department at the Springfield International Paper mill.
- This department is the heart of the mill.
- Manage the water quality for the Boiler and liquor concentration for firing solids.
- Manage one of many evaporator sets to raise solids from 15%-75%. Manage all return condensates, clean and foul condensates, NCG's and regeneration process of the water using caustic and acid baths on the cations and anion. Manage all of the water filtration and heating systems manage water intake from the river pumps etc. This list of experiences is very vast and I am happy to touch on more in person, but I could go page's fourth of equipment and controls used. - I started hostling with Kampco when this was still the Weyerhaeuser Paper mill, I grandfathered in from Kamco to Gardner per contract negotiations, this was also during the transition to International Paper.

- Excellent communication skills, a very hard worker with the ability to consistently learn and adapt to my surroundings on the fly-being able to lead humble knowing that I-myself, 1st and foremost has the room for growth not only pertaining to the job specifically, but also, my personal character development at my core as a person I am, what I would consider a very fast learner with an attitude of always wanting to improve and like to move forward in most situations faced or managing depending on specifics of the situation at hand At 41 years young-married with 3 children, I feel I have achieved admirable lengths of growth throughout my life and have only continued to do just that with all the wisdom I've gained in it all thus far I am am Excellent hands on learner, I have a great attitude and a large sense of humor, balanced by my ability to be overly observant and highly aware of my surroundings with a strong attitude of safety 1st while also meaning-When it's go time let's do it not only right, but SAFE!
