• Perform efficient opening and closing procedures; support team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist patrons with signing up for library cards and account setup; provide friendly and accurate service.
• Accept and process payments for fines, fees, and lost/damaged items; issue bills when necessary.
• Process, organize, and route in-transit crates and mending items; ensure same-day completion.
• Search for and process daily hold requests, including PICKLIST, unclaimed, and ILL materials.
• Generate and distribute hold notices (mail, email, text); shelve holds promptly for patron access.
• Maintain shelving order and collection presentation; assist across sections when needed.
• Keep shelves dusted and free of stains; ensure a clean and welcoming environment for patrons.
• Complete monthly New Sticker Removal and User Removal reports with timely data entry and file management.
• Process new books by applying genre stickers and activating security tags to prevent theft.
• Support promotional activities including themed desk displays, outreach events, and special library programs.
• Accurately track and report reference/directional questions and assist patrons at circulation desk.
• Answer incoming phone calls; assist callers directly or route them to the appropriate department for further help.
• Collaborate with team on homebound deliveries, internal requests, and children’s programming materials.
Volunteer work:
From the year 2003 to the year 2008 I would volunteer at Crane Middle School in the special needs classroom. I helped the students with their homework, social skills, and living skills. I would also accompany the teachers and teachers aides on school field trips, to help out with all students.
