I worked in General Merchandise. My duties included keeping accurate inventory counts, keeping a sanitary work environment, printing price signage and tags, special ordering in demand product, accurately working out back stock product. I also was in charge of the entertainment/tech sub-department. I specialized in inventory control, and merchandising. My area of expertise was in movies and gaming. I won the highest service award that can be given to an hourly employee. I have received employee of the month 12 times. I was also selected as a signature employee by my department. I have introduced products to the company that sold well such as Funko Pops. My tech sub-department never came out in the red during yearly inventory. I have experience in using Symbol equipment to create signage, order product, keep accurate inventory, and process recalls. I am experienced in many loss prevention items such as alpha cases, spider-wraps, and lockable pegs. I have used Microsoft Excel to order items from outside vendors, and to create invoices for items being returned to vendors. I am also experienced and knowledgeable about vitamins. I have spent a lot of time educating customers about vitamins, and made sure all out of date products were removed from on the sales floor. I have also organized remote sale events for my HEB store, including at the HEB Corporate Headquarters. I am know for my fast and efficient style of working. My managers would frequently give me projects for certain holidays. My schedule is wide open. I have experience in cash handling, and single handedly managed layaway at my HEB Plus location in 2016 and 2017.
