- Controlling the 1055 MW 2X1 Combine Cycle Power Plant which includes: 500KV Switchyard, Water Chemistry, Gas Turbines, Cooling systems, Aux Equipment, Steam Generator, Cems, LOTO, Work Orders, Aux Boiler, Dispatching Gas, Directing Plant Employees to do tasks, Trouble Shooting abnormal situations, creating a Shift Report, Updating Work Orders for Techs to complete, providing reports for Management, training plant staff on the DCS, and providing support for Outages and coverage when needed.

- Operating a turbine generator (775MW Super Critical Boiler at 4000 psi) and monitoring ISO phase volts/amps, controlling VAR support for utility needs, & switching of 13.8KV, 4.16 KV and 480 V breakers.
- Corresponding with PJM for availability of generation.
- Corresponding with Dominion for gas nominations
- Operating the DCS by analyzing logic and making modifications.
- Relaying information to immediate managers and teams.
- Switching from production power to the 500KV line to the station service transformer during outages, implementing changes to plant equipment (breakers, transformers, motors, pumps, fans, conveyors, air compressors, etc.) based on temperature or pressure trends, ensuring compliance with federal, state & company’s safety and environmental guidelines.
- Providing guidance and training to junior control room operators, operators, maintenance techs, ICE techs, and contractors.
- Evaluating and recommending future control room operators through collaboration with management.
- Conducting several startups and shutdowns on the plant due to on-going commissioning issues.
- Maintaining records for daily operations.
- Commissioning several systems prior to the plant going commercial.
- Commissioned 2 different DCS systems. (T-3000 and Ovation)
