Provide leadership in the recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring, and termination of all coaches; supervise and evaluat e all coaches
Provide leadership in developing and encouraging a cooperative attitude among the total coaching staff
Prepare an annual budget proposal for the District athletics
Maintain communication with parents, coaches and athletes to disseminate information and to discuss concerns and issues, which includes scheduling and chairing meetings
Represent the District at athletic meetings on local and State levels
Supervise the maintenance, renovation, and replacement of athletic supplies and equipment and submit purchase orders for new equipment and uniforms as needed
Schedule physical examinations for athletic students with the school nurse and physician; distribute physical cards, athletic passes, Code of Conduct and emergency cards to all head coaches
Make arrangements for adequate security and crowd control at all athletic events and ensure an ambulance service is contracted for home events
Provide local media with schedules and rosters upon request and arrange for filming of games
